If I Tell Her There Will Be a Scandal

My wife placed a cactus metal art sculpture in our bedroom. I am not a big fan of those plants – cactuses. I am not a flower lower of flower hater I am neutral towards any plant but cactuses. They freak me out. I find them repulsing. Maybe the association with desert, maybe the thorns… I don’t know I just don’t like them. My wife knows that. She thinks I am overreacting but I really hate cactuses. I want this thing removed from the bedroom. But if I tell her to do that there will be a scandal for sure. She will start again with me not respecting her and other blah-blah.

Beware of the “Comfort Zone”

This so called “comfort zone” is one of your greatest enemies. Roughly speaking this is a condition of your mind when people get used to do certain things in one and the same way and they feel happy about it. This theory is according to one guy called Brian Tracy. I have red some of his books and I can say that he has a point. Of course I do not agree 100% with him but still he has some pretty good ideas and he is right about many things. Actually I took some of his advices and I believe I had gained from this. There is a point sometimes to seek for other man’s opinion. I started to avoid this zone of comfort and I have true results now.

My Canadian Memory

I spend last summer in Canada. I want to tell you I was fascinated by the nature of this country. Of course we have also a beautiful wild nature her in the USA but Canada has a unique atmosphere. It is a foreign country but still very close to us. I can not describe you how good I was feeling this summer. And I had brought back many gifts. Even one moose metal wall art which my wife picked to remind her of this strange and interesting animal we had the luck to encounter in live. I have seen many things in Canada in two months full of thrill and adventure. I believe I will go back there some time.

Tom and Jerry the Best Animation Ever

I still have the full collection of all the episodes from Tom and Jerry. And sometimes when I find free time from my busy day I watch an episode and I still laugh as when I was a kid. This serial is truly the best ever made. I grew up watching it and it was my favorite time sitting in front of the TV set watching them. They don’t make such animation today. I find new movies for children a bit shallow. Maybe I am too old to understand it or maybe I am telling the truth. Who knows? I only know that Tom and Jerry are the best!

Should I Buy them or Not

I like some western metal wall hangings I saw yesterday in internet store. They look so nice that I had an urge to buy them right away. But the fact is that I already have lovely wall hangings everywhere in the house. They are all chosen by me and are in perfect harmony with all my other decorations. If I buy them I have no where to put hem. It would be inappropriate to do so. I will be sad for them if they stay unused and I can not take down any of my other beloved decorations, because I will start being sad for those I am going to take down. But they are so nice. When I see something nice I appreciate and I want to have it. They are not expensive and it won’t be reckless to buy them, only they will stay in some dark box neglected... Maybe if I buy them and hang them for weak then I get tem in a box and then one week later… maybe this will be a solution…

What Civilization Is

Boy from South East Asia cleaning his hand with napkin
What is Civilization - cultural achievements, glorious victories, etc and so on blah- blah. I found it in most trivial things. Believe me or not but napkins and hot water mean civilization for me. Yesterday I had forgotten to buy napkins from the store. By the moment I had realized that every store has been already closed (maybe I should open 24/7 store selling these marvelous household inventions). As you know bad things don’t come alone. My boiler has broken down the same evening. So here I am sitting with no hot water and no napkins. No big deal you will say. I agree with you why is the fuss about all this? I just want to say how Civilization is measured in small things. Every major glorious events echoing through the history seems quite distant and in a second thought means nothing to me. I just want perfect accommodations at my home, this includes napkins and hot water all the time. Yesterday civilization had a fail with me.
